Person County’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) coordinates emergency planning and response across the county for all kinds of emergencies and hazards. Our experienced team helps local industries, businesses, and communities get ready to handle hazards, adapt quickly to disruptions, and return to normal activities as soon as possible.

Emergency Management is home to the County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), which monitors and manages resources to respond efficiently to situations like severe weather, large emergencies, or big events that could stretch county resources. We work with other government agencies, private businesses, and community groups to share information and set goals. This teamwork helps local agencies respond and recover before, during, and after emergencies, reducing the impact on our communities.
